The Hetzels

hetzelsThe International Fellowship of Christian Assemblies (IFCA) is a classical Pentecostal denomination that was birthed in the great outpouring of the Holy Spirit that took place at the beginning of the twentieth century. The beginnings of the IFCA can be traced back to 1906 to the city of Chicago. At that time some Spirit-filled believers, whose names have not been preserved for us, visited the city. Through their ministry people were saved and filled with the Holy Spirit. W. H. Durham’s ministry, the North Avenue Mission, brought Pentecost to some Italian Protestants in the city; they received the baptism with the Holy Spirit with the initial physical sign of speaking in tongues. This resulted in the planting of the first Italian Pentecostal Church, the Grand Avenue Mission. The Italian Pentecostal Movement was thus born. From Chicago the Pentecostal flame spread to other places and other Italian Pentecostal Churches were formed. At its inception our movement was both Italian and missionary minded.

Every year, beginning in 1992, they minister in India and Africa. A very important part of their heart and ministry is to purchase land in both countries in order assist local congregations to expand their facilities as well as to minister to orphans and feed the poor. They are planters of many different projects to provide and train girls who are either poor or orphans to enable them to earn a living such as sewing, baking, and bead necklace making to name a few. Their greatest joy is to outpour the love of Jesus upon each and every one with whom they have contact. The Hetzels have opened a new mission field in which the IFCA can “Accelerate the Gospel!” Jim and Darlene would be very glad to come to your church to minister to your congregation and present their very important missions. I encourage you to contact them via Blessings. Brother Dale
